Det er lenge siden jeg var på bloggen. Det har skjedd sååå mye de siste årene at jeg bare MÅ bruke tid her for å oppdatere. For det første så har vi i 2011 flyttet til Elverum, Sørskogbygda for å være mere nøyaktig.
Vi kjøpte en gammel skole fra plm. 1890 og her har vi nok plass til alle våre barn og musikken. Vi er nå helt vekk fra Trysil. Jeg jobber i Våler på kulturskolen og dirigerer Glommakoret. Ellers så har jeg det travelt med å følge opp barna. Alle mine tre jenter er nå på Barratt Due i Oslo.Det betyr at jeg har en del konserter med de også.
Jeg jobber fortsatt med Gry Oda Myrbakken. Vi har nå et fint prosjekt hvor jeg skal fortelle om senere.

I will use this blog more or less as a website. That means I will not update regularly. I will only write if I have something to write about :)

Getting started again

After a period of little to no activity I am starting up again. I needed some time to rest and to gather my thoughts. Now my son is born on the 1st of september and I want to start planning concerts again. I can not wait to get on staige again. The project I am working with now is symphony "the Lord of the Rings " from the dutch composer Johan de Meij. It is a symphony written for symphonic band and quite known in those circles. The piece is so impressiv and beatifull that I decided to make a piano version about 6 years ago.
Thank God, the composer agreed with me and now I have the exclusive rights on playing the piano version.
The only thing I need now is concerts. In the aftermath of the financiel crise that is not as simple as it used to be.
Well it was never simple actualy, but we managed.
Lets hope I can get some concerts in the Netherlands.For the Norwegian marked I am working on school concerts. Lots of fun stuff with a norwegian soprano.It is called "this is life" and pictures all aspectst of life in general. The songs are from Gershwin, Weil, Hollaender og Bolcom. There is a lot of theater involved, and i love theater.
